Everything that runs in production runs on Linux. This bootcamp takes you from a terminal that intimidates you to a server you administer, harden and deploy your own application on. No prerequisites.
No technical prerequisites. You start as a beginner and finish able to run a production server.
Every module ends with a graded lab. 70 % practice, 30 % theory, from the first day to the last.
Installing Ubuntu in a virtual machine or through WSL, how the system is laid out, first steps in the terminal, moving around the file tree and editing files without leaving the command line.
Copy, move, read and search, then chain commands together. This is the block that turns the terminal into an analysis tool rather than a file browser.
Who is allowed to do what, and why one permission mistake blocks an entire deployment. Accounts, groups, rwx rights and sensible use of sudo.
You start from an empty server and put a complete application online, on your own, in thirteen steps. This is where everything that does not fit in a module gets settled: Nginx, the HTTPS certificate, the domain name, monitoring and automatic restart.
Starting level: beginner. Finishing level: intermediate to advanced, with a deployed application to show.
8 weeks, one module a week, three live sessions. Expect 8 to 12 hours a week in total.
Three levels of support, to match your pace and your goals.
Launch prices are reserved for the waiting list. They will be held for everyone pre-registered when the cohort opens, with no payment before.
